Professional school counselors function as facilitators between parents, teachers and the student in matters concerning the student’s goals, abilities and any areas needing improvement.  School counselors provide services not only to students in need, but to all students.

 As your 7-8 counselors, we want to take this opportunity to give a warm welcome to our new and returning students. The middle school years provide great opportunities for students to not only mature in their academic studies, but to also explore their personal interests and talents.  As counselors, we offer support in the areas of academic, career, and personal/social growth, both individually and in groups.  Since middle school students are changing physically and emotionally, it is especially important for them to strive for a balance in both their academic and social lives. 

 In working towards finding this balance, we hope your child will become involved in the clubs, athletic teams, social activities and leadership opportunities offered during his/her seventh and eighth grade years. Our ASB Socials and after-school clubs provide fun opportunities throughout the year to connect with peers; along with curricular activities like electives, performances, field trips, and intramural sports.
